As part of our Gatekeeper Training & Support initiative, in September 2022 NJECC hosted a workshop for Technology Transfer Offices (TTOs) at universities throughout New Jersey. The workshop aimed to educate attendees about the systemic barriers faced by underserved inventors in STEM commercialization, as well as guide them through reflection, assessment, and review of existing data and processes with an inclusivity, equity, and intersectionality lens. Additionally, it served to enable TTOs to employ inclusive outreach and network development tools to develop relationships with more historically underserved inventors, and help attendees develop action plans for implementing change at their organizations.
